Instructor: Scott Fuqua
Course ID: BAI.NI2017.2
Schedule: Mondays, 10am-1pm, March 20th-May 1st, 2017
Price: $350

Illustrating Animals will enable students to see, represent, and illustrate land animals for personal use, publication, or online representation.

The class will begin with simple sketching in pencil, ink, or watercolor, as students will learn to quickly capture the weight and fluidity of land animals. Following this, the curriculum will deal with understanding elements of animal anatomy. Students will progress to motion and movement, before dealing with a few final, solid pieces to be completed in pencil, watercolor, or acrylic painting. Students should leave the class with two strong pieces and a solid sketchbook of work.

The class is joyful, insightful and very educational. Students will use still photography, video, taxidermy animals, SPCA dogs, and even their own pets. There will be a small supply list sent out in advance of the class.
